Listen Imagine Compose began in 2010 as a series of action research projects and symposia that explored key questions around how composing was taught and learned in secondary schools.

This phase of work resulted in a major report by lead academic Professor Martin Fautley.

In 2014, the findings were drawn upon to devise Continuing Professional Development for secondary music teachers and this is now available as accredited course.

Listen Imagine Compose continues to develop through Away Days, research and a growing a body of evidence and good practice around composing in secondary schools.
